Sometimes, you just need to feel fancy; at least, that’s what Orale believes. In a society that preaches the importance of “treating yourself,” we decided that there is no better way to practice some good, old-fashioned self-care than by providing the city of Hoboken with a cocktail lounge that is two parts eclectic and one part oh-so-elegant.
Orale’s Hoboken Cocktail Lounge
Dubbed the “Dead Room,” our cocktail lounge differs from your run-of-the-mill mixology mainstays. While we provide classic cocktails (and, if you’re feeling dangerous, classic cocktails with a twist), we pride ourselves in our signature cocktails that are exclusive to our Hoboken location.
From “The Neil,” a margarita composed of Sauza Hornitos Blanco, Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Fino Sherry, Lime, Simple, and Jamaican No 1 Bitters, to our unique version of an Old Fashioned (one word: mezcal), The Dead Room’s cocktail menu is loaded with more flavor than our duck confit nachos (and that’s saying something).
Fancy Cocktails & Fancier Company
When searching for a cocktail lounge, North Jersey residents deserve to stumble upon a lounge that offers a bit more than just delicious cocktails; this is why The Dead Room also provides its patrons with a full-service menu so that they can enjoy their spirit of choice along with a delicious plate of food (we also don’t mind adding food to your drink if you want some added heat. Muddled serranos can be added to any margarita – the perfect way to sip on a summertime staple in the dead of winter).
Because the Dead Room is, first and foremost, a cocktail lounge, its ambiance differs from the rest of Orale Mexican Kitchen. Closed off to all under the age of 21, The Dead Room is quieter, fancier, and calmer than Orale’s main restaurant. Walls painted in a deep shade of red complement murals adorned with subdued blues and greens as soft overhead lighting elegantly showers the space beneath. Comfortable chairs, ample seating, and plenty of space to allow yourself to simply be make The Dead Room the perfect destination for celebrating special occasions or, you know, Fridays.
Not a fan of liquor? Not to worry – The Dead Room is also generously stocked with beer (bottles, cans, and draft) and wine (yes, we even have Tempranillo).
The Happiest of Hours
Of course, no cocktail lounge would be complete without happy hour specials. Monday – Friday from 3:00PM – 7:00PM (bar only), The Dead Room offers up: $4 Tecante, $10 Dead Classics, $7 Frozen Margaritas, and $8 Signature Margaritas. Needless to say, there isn’t a case of the Mondays that The Dead Room can’t cure.
With a large selection of tequila and mezcal, in addition to its beer, wine, and signature and classic cocktails, The Dead Room is the pride and joy of the Orale Mexican Kitchen family. If you are looking for a cocktail lounge that offers elegance without that pesky splash of pretentiousness, look no further: The Dead Room is officially open, drinks are finally be poured, and a seat is here waiting for you.
